Storm made a Discord server for the two of them. It’s a way for them to keep in touch with him while they’re away. And it’s a way to keep Storm in the know about what Mom says when they’re not around.

The bad influence. The bitter kid with a bad attitude. The one that he needs to be careful around, the one he shouldn’t emulate. So rude. So angry. And over what?

Mom has her opinions, and she has the right to express them however she wants, to whomever she wants. But he tells Storm, anyway. He figures that they would probably like to know.

They know better than to confront Mom about what she says. They know that it’ll all lead to another argument, one that’ll just simmer for the rest of the day, never really reaching an end.

And once Mom’s done dealing with Storm, she’ll turn on him, too. Give him a good, long lecture. Ask him why he told Storm what she’d said, why he couldn’t keep his mouth shut.

In the long run, getting yelled at over this is better than getting yelled at for some other reason.

Besides, if she didn’t want what she’d said getting out, she shouldn’t have told him in the first place.
